Aeron and Sayl Ocean-Bound Plastic Update

We're excited to announce that we're expanding our range of seating products which include Ocean-Bound Plastic even further to include Sayl work chairs and stools.

As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability, and long-term goal to increase recycled content to at least 50 percent including the use of ocean-bound plastic across all material the company uses by 2030, Herman Miller is pleased to announce that from October '22 all Aeron colourways assembled in Europe (Graphite, Mineral, and Carbon) are shipping with Ocean-Bound Plastic.

Now, we're excited to announce that we're expanding our range of seating products which include Ocean-Bound Plastic even further to include Sayl work chairs and stools.

Environmental impact was a key element behind the design of Sayl, with fewer parts and less material providing ergonomic support to users. Since June '22, all Sayl work chairs and stools manufactured in Europe have contained Ocean-Bound Plastic—further enhancing on the sustainability story of Sayl.
